"A house is made of walls and beams;
a home is built with love and dreams."
I've added the arena of professional counseling to my life's work. To find out more, read the content below. If I can be of assistance to you in any way, please do not hesitate to call on me.
Work Experience
I preached my first sermon at the age of 8. At 16 I began taking preaching appointments. Since the age of 18, I have been blessed to preach most Sundays.
I have taught many books of the Bible in an academic setting, as well as biblically related topics, including biblical language..
Working under the supervision of Dr. Shannon Barnes, I am helping clients cope with anxiety, depression, addiction, marital and parental issues, as well as trauma related issues.

A native of Tennessee, I have been blessed to live and work in ministry in Tennessee, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia. For the past nine years I have ministered with the Piedmont Road Church of Christ in Marietta, GA. If the Lord's willing, my family and I will continue to serve with this great church for many more years.

My education experience includes general course work at the University of Memphis, as well as a B.S. from Freed-Hardeman Univserity, and the M.A. and D.Min. degrees from the Theological University of America. I also received a preaching certificate from the East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions. Currently, I am working on the M.A. degree in Professional Counseling from Amridge University.

During my tenure as a preaching minister, I have been able to travel to several states and a number of foreign countries to preach and teach. I've preached from Colorado to New Jersey, and most of the states in the Southeast. I have also preached in Brazil, England, France, New Zealand, Guyana, and Tanzania.

When I'm not working with the church, or seeing clients, you will likely find me doing something fun with the family. I am married to my college sweetheart, and we have two children, and two dogs. We enjoy spending time together, whether it is traveling, going kayaking, fishing, or soaring in the sky. I am a licensed private pilot.  Additionally, I spend a lot of time writing. I have contributed chapters in numerous books, and articles to several religious publications. I have authored and co-authored a number of books as well.

While I am not currently licensed as a professional counselor, I am working toward that end. As part of my degree and licensure requirements, I am working as a counseling intern. I'm currently accepting clients who may be in need of counseling.

I see clients weekly at Tranquility Counseling Services, LLC . Tranquility is conveniently located on Main Street, and the address is 8744 Main Street, Suites 303/403, Woodstock, GA 30188.
